the audit vote
Verified holders vote on what kascov audits next. This page is the public tally: counts only, never who voted for what.
The vote accelerates the audit queue. It never decides a verdict. A verdict comes from the chain and only from the chain, and kascov may audit anything at any time, voted for or not. Holding a token buys no influence over what kascov.io reports.
The tally lives at /vote-tally.json and this box renders it in your browser. With JavaScript off, read the file directly; it is the same data, counts and rules included.
The rules
- One verified holder, one vote per round. Voting again before the round closes replaces the earlier ballot, it never adds a second one.
- Voting needs a proven balance of at least 100 $KASCOV. The dust floor is policy, not physics, and changes only by a commit to the public repo.
- Rounds close when the operator closes them, or after five days, whichever comes first. Closing freezes the counts and deletes the ballots themselves.
- Casting a ballot adds a participation claim to your public
passport when the round closes:
voted-round-N, naming the round and nothing else. The claim never says what you picked; the ballot itself is deleted at close, and the claim appears in the public file on the next passport rebuild, within about six hours. - The vote accelerates the audit queue; it never decides a verdict.
- kascov may audit anything at any time, voted for or not.
The same rules ship inside the tally file itself, so the counts cannot be quoted without their own limits attached.
How to vote
In the kascov Discord:
verify an address with /verify, then
cast with /vote choice:<number>. The bot’s full
terms and privacy are at kascov.io/bot, including
exactly what is stored while a round is open.
